Community Guidelines
Respect: Harassment, aggressive comments, slurs, belittling, or threats of any kind for any reason (even if intended as a joke) to any person (including yourself) will not be tolerated.
Presentation: The Game Haven is a family-friendly, safe, inclusive community space (including online TGH spaces such as facebook and discord). Present yourself accordingly (including appropriate attire, language, and hygiene).
Fair Play: The Game Haven is a place for people to come and enjoy the games they love with others. As such, play, misplay, win, and lose respectfully. Please also be welcoming and patient with new players.
Use of the Space: The Game Haven is a welcoming environment where everyone should feel comfortable to spend time. Therefore, please keep your play area clean, pick up trash, put items away the way you found them and keep the furniture where it is and use it as intended.
Respect for Property: The Game Haven is extremely fortunate to have this space on this property. Please be respectful of the parking lot, the entry way, and the building. Please keep noise at a respectful level (including music, vehicle use, and voices) and leave the space as you found it.
Prohibited Items: Smoking, Vaping, Possessing of or Drinking Alcohol, and the Use of or possession of Illegal Drugs are not permitted at or outside the Game Haven. Those wishing to smoke or vape legal substances may do so in their vehicles out of respect for those entering and exiting The Game Haven. Weapons of any kind will not be permitted at The Game Haven.
Theft: The Game Haven has a ZERO tolerance policy for theft. If caught or suspected of theft (from The Game Haven or another person) you will be asked to leave and may be banned from The Game Haven and potentially face legal action.
Staff Decisions are Final: A staff member’s decision on gameplay, conduct, warnings, or asking someone to leave is the final say in any dispute or issue that may happen at The Game Haven.
Reporting: If you believe someone has violated the terms of this code of conduct, please speak with a staff member immediately and we will handle the situation. Do not try to police your table or anyone else at The Game Haven. Kind reminders of the code of conduct are encouraged, but not in an aggressive manner.
Agreement: By spending time at The Game Haven, purchasing items, or participating in events, you agree to this code of conduct and accept the consequences if it is not followed.
The Game Haven reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.
